Customer Services Representative

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Customer Services & Transport Manager, the Customer Services Representative is accountable for following company procedures for the accurate and timely administration of all transport activities.

Principal Responsibilities

Process sales orders by phone and e-mail and enter customer orders on company systems

Revert to customers with anticipated delivery dates and times according to the agreed lead times

Highlight any changes to orders to production or any unusual requirements

Update company systems with new customer accounts, delivery addresses, products etc.

Upload delivery details to 3rd party distribution network within deadlines required

Liaise with distributor, investigate and follow up on all queries

Liaise with customers to amend delivery schedule if required/

Communicate with technical representatives to ensure customer site readiness prior to the deliveries.

Person Specification

Education

Leaving Certificate or higher

Professional Experience

Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic customer-oriented environment.

Experience of working within a logistics or freight company is desirable but not essential

Strong IT skills including experience of working with ERP systems and MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience of effectively managing customer enquiries, troubleshooting delivery issues and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Candidates must already possess the right to work in the EU.
