Role description
The DACH Senior Brand Manager (m/f/d) serves as the local business owner for the brand, with overall responsibility for shaping its long-term direction and ensuring sustainable growth within the DACH market. Acting as the key link between local, regional, and global teams, the role combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and strong leadership to translate business opportunities into impactful market actions. Operating in a highly matrixed environment, the Senior Brand Manager champions local consumer and customer needs, drives alignment across stakeholders, and plays a pivotal role in maximizing brand value and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sub-brand strategy and 3-year marketing plan, including portfolio management, innovation pipeline development, media investment planning, and growth initiatives to drive brand penetration and business performance.
- Own and deliver brand growth objectives, ensuring excellence in execution and taking proactive actions to optimize performance against key commercial and brand KPIs.
- Lead innovation development and launch execution, partnering with global category teams and local stakeholders to successfully bring both global and locally driven innovations to market.
- Manage business and financial performance, with accountability for P&L delivery, including Sell In, Sell Out, Market Share, Profitability, Penetration, and other key business metrics.
- Drive performance monitoring and resource optimization, leveraging consumer, customer, market, and competitive insights to identify opportunities and effectively manage A&P investments.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and project management, partnering closely with Sales, Shopper & Customer Marketing, Finance, Expert, and Global teams, while sharing best practices across local markets and the wider EMEA organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Relevant commercial experience, including several years of Marketing or Brand Management experience, ideally within FMCG, Consumer Health, OTC, or similarly fast-paced consumer-focused industries
- Strong strategic, analytical, and operational marketing capabilities, with a proven ability to translate consumer, customer, and market insights into business and brand growth initiatives
- Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working effectively in a matrix organization
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across organizational levels
- Fluency in German and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for brand building and consumer-centric marketing, with a strong focus on creating meaningful consumer experiences and driving sustainable growth
- Experience managing internal and external partners, including agencies and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in a dynamic environment
- Sound financial acumen and experience managing marketing investments and budgets
- Growth mindset, learning agility, and adaptability in fast-paced and changing business environments
- Hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering results
