The Role:
The Data Analyst Lead turns data into clear, actionable answers for the business — building the well-modeled data marts that power our reporting, then communicating the resulting insights directly to internal teams and customers. This role owns analytics initiatives end to end, from scoping and data modeling through delivery and communication of results.
Working closely with our Revenue team (Sales and Client Success), customers, and partners across Finance, Product, and Marketing, the Data Analyst Lead will write advanced SQL and build dashboards and analyses that give stakeholders clear, actionable takeaways.
The ideal candidate operates independently, is comfortable moving between data modeling and stakeholder conversations, and brings sound judgment to how data gets used to answer real business problems
What You’ll Do:
Client-Facing Insights
Help clients understand their performance and their utilization of our platform; where they’re succeeding, where they’re leaving opportunity on the table, and what to do next.
Partner directly with Sales, Client Success, and customers to scope new analyses, translating their questions into clear requirements.
Support client-facing conversations such as QBRs and JBPs with dashboards and analyses that are clear and easy to act on.
Internal Revenue Insights
Support internal revenue analytics such as pacing, forecasting, and product adoption, giving leadership the metrics needed to steer the business.
Identify performance trends, business opportunities, and data quality issues, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.
Data Modeling and Analytics Engineering
Build and maintain the data marts and models — the trusted data foundation — that make client-facing and internal insights reconcilable and correct.
Write and review advanced SQL to transform, validate, and analyze large, complex datasets.
Apply analytics engineering practices — tested, documented, version-controlled transformations (e.g. dbt, Dataform, or similar) — to build out our data modeling layer.
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and reporting inconsistencies across systems.
Balance immediate reporting needs with longer-term data model scalability.
Who You Are
5 or more years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Google BigQuery or comparable cloud-based data platforms.
Experience with analytics engineering practices — building data marts, dimensional models, and tested, documented transformations (e.g. dbt, Dataform, or similar; tool-agnostic).
Demonstrated experience owning analytics or reporting projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
Strong proficiency with reporting and visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Domo, Datorama, Looker Studio, TapClicks, or similar tools.
Strong experience wrangling, exploring, cleaning, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
Demonstrated ability to identify insights and translate findings into practical business and product recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with client-facing stakeholders and business leaders.
Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in an evolving environment.
What Sets You Apart
Experience with advertising technology, streaming television, digital media, campaign measurement, or marketing analytics.
Experience building customer-facing analytics or reporting products.
Strong understanding of media performance metrics, attribution, audience measurement, or campaign reporting.
A track record of improving reporting accuracy, automation, scalability, or operational efficiency.
The ability to move comfortably between strategic planning, hands-on analysis, and technical execution.
