Data Analytics Specialist

Description

Hartung Glass Industries is seeking an experienced analytics professional to transform business data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence and strategic decision-making. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, designing scalable analytics solutions, developing enterprise reporting, and creating data models that empower users across manufacturing, operations, sales, and finance.

The ideal candidate combines advanced Power BI development expertise, strong DAX skills, and exceptional data storytelling capabilities to deliver meaningful business intelligence solutions.

Requirements

Microsoft Fabric Development

• •Design, develop, and maintain analytics solutions utilizing the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• •Build and manage scalable data models, semantic models, and reporting assets that support enterprise-wide analytics initiatives.
• •Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to optimize data architecture and reporting performance.

Power BI Development

• •Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
• •Create intuitive and visually compelling user experiences that promote adoption and self-service analytics.
• •Develop and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated tables, and business logic to support sophisticated analytical requirements.

Data Visualization & Storytelling

• •Transform complex datasets into meaningful visual narratives and dashboards.
• •Apply industry best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, and user experience.
• •Develop analytical content that enables stakeholders to quickly understand business performance and key drivers.

Data Quality & Governance

Support data quality initiatives by identifying and resolving reporting inconsistencies.

· Create, validate, and maintain master data records in ERP and related systems.

· Develop and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and documentation.

Contribute to best practices for reporting, metrics, and analytics governance.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• •Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Visualization, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• •Experience developing enterprise reporting solutions.
• •Experience developing and maintaining master data records.

Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Expertise

• •Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and the Power BI platform.
• •Experience building semantic models, datasets, dashboards, and enterprise reporting solutions.
• •Strong understanding of data connectivity, refresh strategies, and report optimization.

Technical Skills

• •Advanced proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• •Advanced proficiency in Power Query (M).
• •Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• •Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and analytics best practices.

Data Visualization

• •Demonstrated expertise in dashboard design, KPI development, and executive reporting.
• •Strong understanding of data storytelling principles and visualization best practices.

Communication & Collaboration

• •Ability to translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions.
• •Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with end users to develop reporting solutions.
• •Ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
