We’re looking for an inspired, motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The Data Engineer facilitates the flow of oftentimes massive quantities of raw files from various disparate locations into well-harmonized tables. Much is made of the potential to use data to solve the world’s problems – the data engineer knows that this “data” is useless unless it can be organized into analyzable bits…and that its most likely a mess. No problem; data engineers are at the vanguard of the Marketing Science team, taking raw and largely unusable information and refining it into the stuff of predictive models. At the vanguard of our marketing science organization, the data engineer solves problems “on the ground,” many times with little documentation and vague direction from business stakeholders; they pave the way for fruitful analysis by turning chaos into functional process.

In this role you will

Automate manual processes through SQL, python, etc…

Analyze documentation and propose data extraction solutions

Write code that uses APIs to download and upload data

Continuously improve the efficiency of existing automation to make it faster, cheaper and smarter

Provide the “voice of reason” that keeps the rest of the team grounded in what is possible and by when

Understand the nuances of the analysis required

Explain the complexities involved with data extraction to analysts

Work closely with the rest of the MKS and account teams to understand the business context of the account

Stay up-to-date on latest industry news and analysis techniques

Assist in tagging and data infrastructure design

What are we looking for? Besides a great attitude,

You should have:

At least 3+ years experience using SQL, python, or working with API

3 years of experience designing ETL solutions

3+ years experience designing SQL, ETL experience, Transformation and source/target and warehouse architecture, database modeling understanding.

Advanced English Proficiency (B2 reading, writing, and conversation)

It’s a plus if you have:

Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint

Most coursework towards a Bachelor's degree

Snowflake, Matillion skills

Competencies to be successful in this role:

Manages Ambiguity

Tech Savvy

Decision Quality

Nimble Learning
