Databricks Genie Consultant / Data Engineer

Location: Mumbai / Bangalore (Hybrid - 2 Days WFO)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Databricks Genie Consultant / Data Engineer with strong expertise in Data Engineering and the Databricks Lakehouse platform. The role involves building scalable data solutions, enabling self-service analytics through Databricks Genie, and partnering with business teams to deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and data models.
  • Configure and manage Databricks Genie , including setup and deployment.
  • Develop semantic layers and ensure data is optimized for business consumption.
  • Create reports and dashboards for business users.
  • Collaborate with business and data teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and lineage across the Databricks environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering and data modelling.
  • Expertise in Databricks , including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse Architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks Genie .
  • Experience building and managing semantic layers.
  • Strong SQL and analytical skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau .
  • Exposure to Retail, CPG, or BFSI domains.

Experience: 5+ Years
