Position Overview:

The Dealer Development Specialist - Seasonal supports the growth, optimization, and performance of the Seasonal dealer network. Working with the broader Dealer Development team, you will execute dealer development strategies, policies, transactions, and network optimization initiatives. This role partners across field sales, legal, product line sales, Polaris Acceptance, marketing, service, and Channel teams to support dealer readiness, compliance, and performance. You will use dealer, market, operational, and financial information to recommend practical actions that improve network effectiveness and the dealer and owner experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned Seasonal dealer development activities, including dealer additions, dealer recruitment, activation, onboarding, and network optimization projects.
  • Coordinate policy requirements, documentation, stage gates, timelines, and implementation activities with Dealer Development, field sales, legal, product line teams, Channel, and other stakeholders.
  • Support dealer readiness activities, including system access, required training, branding, fixtures, signage, and onboarding requirements.
  • Analyze dealer, market, operational, and financial information to develop Seasonal network recommendations and support assigned dealer actions.
  • Partner with Polaris Acceptance and internal stakeholders to monitor dealer health and identify retail, credit, or business risks requiring follow-up.
  • Support the annual Dealer Agreement process and Seasonal dealer policy or program updates, including minimum standards, minimum advertised price requirements, minimum credit lines, order cancellation, and low-performance management.
  • Monitor dealer compliance, maintain accurate records, communicate status, and coordinate follow-up with field sales, legal, and product line teams.
  • Lead assigned projects and workstreams through planning, stakeholder alignment, meeting facilitation, decision documentation, action-item management, and disciplined follow-through.
  • Prepare dashboards, updates, dealer communications, and recommendations for Dealer Development, Channel leadership, field sales, and legal partners.
  • Maintain and improve standard work, process documentation, trackers, business tools, and network reporting while identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve data quality, simplify work, and increase execution efficiency.
  • Partner with system owners and technical teams to document requirements, test improvements, and support adoption of approved tools or process changes.
  • Represent Dealer Development at dealer meetings, sales meetings, dealer shows, or sponsored 20 Group meetings as assigned, capturing dealer feedback and communicating insights to internal partners.

Desired Competencies:

  • Collaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.
  • Data & Analytical Literacy: You interpret data, metrics, or reporting to inform decisions, identify trends, and measure outcomes relevant to your role.
  • Planning & Organization: You manage time, resources, and priorities effectively to meet deadlines and deliver consistent results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in channel development, sales, account management, project management, or a related area.
  • Strong project management, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, organize detailed work, and meet deadlines as priorities evolve.
  • Effective relationship-building and influencing skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally without direct authority.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate recommendations clearly to varied audiences.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide practical, fact-supported recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with a customer relationship management platform or dealer management system is preferred.
  • Dealer, automotive, powersports, channel, or retail network experience is preferred.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and day-to-day execution in a corporate office environment with a hybrid work model subject to business requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, primarily for dealer visits, Polaris Sales Meetings, Dealer Shows, and other business needs.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
