Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• •Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• •Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• •Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• •Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• •Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• •Sterilization of equipment
• •Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• •Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• •Possess a professional and positive attitude
• •Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• •Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• •Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:

• •Monday - 8AM - 5PM
• •Tuesday - 8AM - 5PM
• •Wednesday - 9AM - 6PM
• •Thursday - 9AM - 6PM

Preferred Qualities:

• •Dental office experience
• •Dentrix Ascend software experience
