As a Dental Hygienist at Callahan Dental, you will play an important role in helping our patients maintain excellent oral health.

Responsibilities include:

• •Providing comprehensive dental hygiene care.
• •Performing periodontal charting and assessments.
• •Taking digital dental X-rays.
• •Performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing (SRP).
• •Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• •Providing fluoride treatments.
• •Identifying and communicating periodontal and oral health concerns.
• •Developing individualized hygiene care recommendations based on patient needs.
• •Building positive, trusting relationships with patients.
• •Collaborating with the doctor and dental team to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• •Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and patient records.

Qualifications include:

• •Active Maryland Dental Hygiene License or currently awaiting Maryland licensure.
• •Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• •Experience providing comprehensive dental hygiene care.
• •Knowledge of periodontal charting, digital X-rays, prophylaxis, SRP, patient education, and fluoride treatments.
• •Comfortable working with dental technology and electronic dental records.
• •Positive attitude and a genuine desire to work as part of a team.
• •Commitment to patient education, preventive dentistry, and quality clinical care.
