Join Our Team as a Derivatives Attorney at Axiom

Location: Canada; Toronto Preferred

We are seeking a Canadian-qualified Derivatives Attorney to support our client’s derivatives team. In this role, you will focus on MSFTA agreements, providing hands-on support with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements in a financial services, derivatives, or capital markets environment.

Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate MSFTA agreements.

Provide legal support to the derivatives team on MSFTA-related matters.

Review agreements and identify relevant legal and contractual issues.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the negotiation process.

Support derivatives and capital markets-related legal matters as needed.

Qualifications:

Canadian-qualified attorney licensed to practice law in an applicable Canadian jurisdiction.

Direct experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSFTA agreements.

Experience within financial services, derivatives, or capital markets.

Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication, technology, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Toronto-based candidates are preferred and should be comfortable working on a hybrid basis.

Candidates elsewhere in Canada may also be considered for remote work.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs. Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
