Design Change Analyst

Description

Position Summary:

The role supports as primary Purchasing focal point for all Design Change (DC) activities, coordinating Purchasing-related actions and ensuring changes are evaluated and completed within established timelines. Responsibilities include representing Purchasing in CRB meetings, preparing and presenting DC-related topics, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, and coordinating with Configuration Management to resolve DC-related issues. The position also partners closely with Engineering during the preliminary phase prior to DC creation and is responsible for monitoring, managing, and reporting KPIs associated with Purchasing-managed changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:

Design Change evaluation

• •Pre-check of all Purchasing relevant DC´s in terms of
• •Quality of DC´s – if any information is missing or any content is unclear, conduct clarification with Engineering
• •Content
• •Scope
• •Affected Buyer
• •Independent evaluation of DC´s with less complicated impact, including clarification with suppliers
• •Feasibility
• •Costs
• •Timeline
• •If independent evaluation not possible, distribute DC´s to Buyers for evaluation
• •Prioritize DC´s and inform affected Buyers
• •Gather all input from Buyers and approve or decline DC´s
• •Create open points in DC´s
• •Represent Purchasing within CRB meeting and present DC issues

Reporting and Shopfloor Management

• •Create and maintain Purchasing DC KPI
• •Report Purchasing DC KPI within SFM
• •Gather all critical Purchasing topics and report within CRB meeting
• •Attend DC prioritization meetings

Requirements

• •Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
• •Experience with change management, design analysis or project based roles.
• •Experience in a relevant industry (manufacturing, technology or engineering).
• •Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• •Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking change processes.
