Job Description

Design Delivery Expert / Manager in HairCare / Beauty Design Studio in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality and consistency of production artwork files, and leading the collaboration on artwork development/adaptation with the Design Team, MFT and external agencies. This position involves a blend of technical production expertise, collaboration, and leadership to maintain high standards in design and artwork adaptation to final art. Strong collaboration, project management, and communication skills are essential for success in this role

Your Team

You will report to Design Director. You will work extensively with colleagues from other teams including Marketing, Product Supply, Artwork teams and other functions.

Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities and skills required for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

Protocol and Standards Management:

  • Lead and execute design production meetings, production execution and timing, print tests, and CIC, GA and artwork matrix reviews.
  • Lead colour development, print production proofing, and technical feasibility assessment reviews and discussions with suppliers.
  • Ensure that artwork design files meet the standards for print production and quality.
  • Travel for print trials onsite

Support and Guidance:

  • Collaborate with designers regarding file preparation, setup, and troubleshooting throughout the design development process.
  • Resolve production file issues by working closely with BVE teams and printers.
  • Develop and manage design execution project timing integrated into Initiative CPS, collaborating with designers, project leader and AW team
  • Manage Enovia and mock up sample production.

Quality Control:

  • Validate and review preflight checklists on artwork files that are uploaded are of 100% quality.
  • Collaborate on issues related to feasibility, print specifications and graphic file quality.

Color Development:

Manage image color preparation, including separating colors and retouching images for print. Set up print channels correctly to ensure accurate color results.

Job Qualifications

Skills Required:

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced knowledge of technologies associated with print, pre-press, design development, and digital asset management.
  • Knowlegde of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and various prepress plug-ins.

Design Production Expertise:

  • Solid understanding of design production, file engineering for pre-press, printing processes, and print quality.
  • Ability to establish actionable standards and protocols for internal/external users.

Collaboration and Influence:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external BVE agencies and printers to drive design production quality.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Identify opportunities to improve packaging execution systems, print quality, and consistency

Background and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end design process, from design concept, through design production.
  • Familiarity with color management and proofing systems like GMG Open Color and ColorProof.
  • In-depth knowledge of artwork file production, fit-for-use requirements, print process capabilities, substrates/finishes and other decoration techniques.
  • Strong project and time management skills, with experience leading multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and provide accurate reporting, with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 6 years of experience in design production, color management and development, pre-press capabilities, and/or printing.
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, graphic design, or print management is preferred, though equivalent industry experience is considered.
  • Software fluency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher), and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Mandatory fluency in English communication skills. Mandarin communication skills to communicate with external production vendors in Greater China is a plus.
