We’re one of the world’s oldest start-ups — and we’re just getting started.

At Husqvarna Group, innovation is in our DNA. With over 330 years of heritage and a passion for pioneering technology, we design and deliver world class products and solutions for forest, park, garden and construction care. From robotic lawn mowers to cutting-edge chainsaws and sustainable battery systems, we’re shaping the future — and we want you to be part of it.

About the team

You will join the team responsible for designing mufflers and fuel systems for professional handheld products. We contribute to development projects in close collaboration with Husqvarna departments, manufacturing units, and suppliers worldwide. Our team combines newer design engineers with experienced colleagues. We work closely, support one another, and foster a welcoming environment where people enjoy coming to work.

About the role

As a Design Engineer, you will develop technically advanced components and contribute to both new product development and the improvement of existing solutions. Your work will vary throughout the project lifecycle. During some phases, you will focus on 2D and 3D modelling, concept evaluation, and design testing. During others, you will coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that components, documentation, and approvals are ready for production, including ensuring that the required PPAP documentation is approved.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing new components and improving existing solutions
  • Creating and maintaining 2D drawings and 3D models in CATIA V5
  • Working in projects with frequent supplier contact and technical dialogue
  • Managing requirements and contributing to risk analyses
  • Following up on tests and evaluating design solutions

About you

You are a collaborative and approachable person who enjoys working as part of a team and building relationships across functions and with suppliers. It is important that you have a genuine passion for technology and product development. You enjoy understanding complex technical challenges and engaging in technical discussions.

We believe you have:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working in CATIA V5
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is considered a merit if you also have:

  • Experience developing molded components
  • Knowledge of geometry assurance
  • Knowledge of combustion engines
