Development Lab Administrator

BlueCat is seeking a Development Lab Administrator to build and manage product lab environments and facilitate hands-on testing of our products and related solution stacks. The successful candidate brings their technical, business and customer service skills to the team, gathering and interpreting requirements from internal stakeholders to build our virtual lab and enable product testing and development.

Job Duties:

• •Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements which you will then plan and implement to deliver a working environment to lab users
• •Deploy virtual machines to create various network topologies and scenarios
• •Perform software installations, activation, and configuration
• •Ensure the environment is updated by applying software patches and upgrades
• •Develop strategies for improving our ability to simulate and test real-world conditions
• •Collaborate with product leaders to document requested testing and formulate test plans
• •Perform planned detailed product-level feature, capability, and functional testing and report on your results
• •Partner as needed with product management and other stakeholders on additional lab, software, and business activities as needed

Professional Qualifications:

• •3+ year’s experience in a related technical role such as IT support, customer support engineer, DevOps, or product management
• •Experience operating VMware, configuring Windows and Linux systems
• •Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, packet capture, DNS and DHCP
• •Technical degree or certifications (ex: Computer Science, Information Systems, Cisco, VMware, etc.)
• •Willingness to collaborate within a global organization across time zones and cultures
• •Effective research skills; ability to leverage AI to collect, organize and integrate results
• •Able to provide writing samples that demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate complex, technical concepts
