Diesel/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Blunier Builders, Inc. is a growing construction company located in Eureka, Illinois, seeking a motivated Mechanic to join our team.

Our company operates three divisions with a diverse fleet of equipment and vehicles that require ongoing maintenance and repair. This position offers a wide variety of work, ensuring that no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment, vehicles, and machinery.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on equipment and vehicles.

Complete service calls at active job sites.

Repair and maintain power tools.

Order, organize, and manage parts inventory.

Help ensure company equipment remains safe, reliable, and job-site ready.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Excellent analytical and diagnostic abilities.

Intermediate computer skills.

Welding and cutting torch experience is preferred.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments, including crawling under vehicles.

Willingness to work occasional evenings as needed.
