Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift

MDC Environmental is looking for a safety conscious 2nd Shift - Diesel Mechanic to join the team at our hauling location in Marengo, IL . This shift starts at 3:30pm.

Our Diesel Mechanic will perform repairs and preventative maintenance services and repairs on our trucks and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• •Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• •Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• •Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• •Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• •Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• •Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• •Will be working on the industrial machinery as needed
• •Other duties as assigned

Pay-

This position pays starts at $28/hr based on experience. Overtime is available after 40 hours at time and a half.

Requirements:

• •Possess own tools
• •Previous work experience required
• •Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
• •Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
