• Diesel Mechanic: repairs and maintains fleet vehicles and equipment including heavy to light trucks, cars, forklifts, and vending refrigeration units.

Job Description

Primary Location:

Albuquerque, New Mexico

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for necessary repair.
• •Inspect vehicles for defective equipment.
• •Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.
• •Overhaul gas and/or diesel engines.
• •Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and make adjustments.
• •Lubricate moving parts and drives or operates repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
• •Installs special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.
• •Performs minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including, air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation and other mechanical related components.
• •Wear Company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and to present a professional image.
• •Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• •Two year certificate from college or technical school, four years related experience or combination of education and experience preferred.
• •Hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
• •Must meet company driver qualifications, and willing to obtain State Safety Inspection certification.
• •Communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
• •Must provide own tools.
