Nauset Disposal has an opening for a Diesel Mechanic join our GROWING team at our site in South Yarmouth, MA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00am to 8:30pm & Saturday's as needed.

Pay Rate: $26.00 to $36.00 per hour

Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• •Assists experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs, learning the trade under supervision.
• •Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
• •Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication
• •Assist with brakes inspections, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components
• •Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
• •Maintain accurate service records and reports
• •Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations
• •Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed

What we need from you:

• •Mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn and grow with a team.
• •Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
• •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• •Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus
