Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician (Diagnostics- Level 3D)

Position Overview:

Straight Talk: Level 3 Diagnostic Technicians are the fighter pilots of the industry. We work on all makes /all models and you must be able to diagnose them all. We have OEM software for everything we can get our hands on, and technical resources to help you get your job done. But it still takes your smarts and skills; you must be able to solve problems and pivot yourself to find solutions and keep trucks moving.

The Level 3D Technician is an advanced heavy-duty technician capable of diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic systems on commercial vehicles. This position requires strong engine diagnostic and repair skills, advanced electrical knowledge, and the ability to use OEM software and available resources to accurately diagnose difficult repairs.

The Pay:

Top Industry Pay : $45/ hr + for Level 3D diagnostic technicians

Performance Bonus Program : Techs can make up to $1000+ per month in additional pay. This is not an unreachable program, most of our techs get a bonus every single month.

Paid Vacation available Day 1

What would you be doing:

Engine Diagnosis & Repair: Diagnose and repair internal and external engine components across multiple manufacturers. Use OEM diagnostic software for Volvo, Mack, PACCAR, Cummins, CAT, Freightliner, Hino, and other manufacturers.

Aftertreatment Systems: Diagnose and repair emissions and aftertreatment systems and understand their relationship with engine performance.

Advanced Electrical & Electronics: Diagnose complex electrical problems, electronic engine controls, wiring, sensors, and vehicle communication systems.

ABS Systems: Diagnose and repair ABS systems using Bendix, WABCO, and other diagnostic software.

Cab & Chassis Controllers: Diagnose and repair electronic control modules and related vehicle communication systems.

Automated Transmissions: Diagnose and repair automated transmission systems, including Volvo I-Shift, PACCAR TX, Freightliner, Eaton Endurant, and similar systems.

Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and repair other complex vehicle systems including collision warning, telematics, electronically controlled systems, and other advanced vehicle technology.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently on complex repairs

Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic knowledge

Ability to effectively use diagnostic software, service information, and technical resources

Effective communication and teamwork

Strong attention to detail and time management

Ability to adapt to changing vehicle technology

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

CDL REQUIRED

Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty truck repair experience

Strong experience with diesel engines, electronics, diagnostics, and multiple manufacturers

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
