More about the role

Key Responsibilities

• •Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Vertex tax solutions integrated with SAP S/4HANA across global business units.
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and external partners to ensure seamless tax automation and compliance.
• •Provide subject matter expertise on indirect tax , transaction tax , and global tax determination logic .
• •Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for Vertex implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and post-go-live support.
• •Analyze and optimize existing tax processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• •Stay current with global tax regulations and Vertex product updates to ensure ongoing system alignment.
• •Support internal audits and external tax reporting requirements through system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.

Qualifications

• •Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Vertex tax solutions (e.g., Vertex O Series, Vertex Cloud).
• •Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA , particularly in the areas of tax configuration, SD/MM integration, and financial postings.
• •Proven experience in global tax environments , preferably within multinational corporations.
• •Solid understanding of indirect tax processes , including VAT, GST, and sales/use tax.
• •Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• •Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• •Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPA, SAP FI/CO) are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• •Experience with SAP Tax Service , SAP Localization Hub , or other tax engines.
• •Familiarity with cloud-based tax solutions and API integrations .
• •Project management experience (Agile or Waterfall methodologies).
• •Multilingual capabilities or experience working in diverse cultural environments.
