The Graduate Opportunity

As a Digital & Technology Graduate, you'll gain exposure to the systems, technologies and digital solutions that help keep Arriva moving and support the future of passenger transport.

Through rotations across the Digital & Technology function, you'll gain experience in different areas, work with a range of teams and build a broad understanding of how digital and technology support our business, operations and customers.

Working alongside colleagues across Arriva, you'll contribute to projects that use digital solutions, technology and data to improve operational performance, customer experience and business decision-making. You'll gain an understanding of how technology works in a real operational environment and how digital solutions can make a difference to both our colleagues and customers.

Throughout the programme, you'll develop your technical knowledge, commercial awareness and problem-solving skills, while gaining insight into how digital and technology can support transformation across a large international organisation.

You'll also have opportunities to contribute to initiatives focused on innovation, digital transformation, continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

Location: This role can be based at our Sunderland or London office and operates on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

About You:

We're open to applications from graduates of all degree disciplines, although applicants with backgrounds in digital, technology data, engineering, mathematics or related fields may find the role particularly relevant.

The Graduate Programme

Alongside your role, you'll be part of our two-year graduate development programme, benefiting from structured learning, mentoring, exposure to senior leaders and a connected graduate network across Arriva.

The breadth of experience gained throughout the programme will help you explore different career pathways and build a strong foundation for your future career.

You'll also have opportunities to develop your expertise through professional learning in areas such as digital transformation, data and analytics, cloud technologies and project management, helping you build the skills needed for a successful career in Digital & Technology.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need:

To be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a degree (2:1 preferred, with strong 2:2 applications considered)

The right to work in the UK permanently

Availability to join the programme in September 2027

Willingness to travel where required as part of the programme
