Are you someone who enjoys helping others, staying active, building relationships, and knowing your work mattered at the end of the day?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Emory Valley Center , no two days are exactly the same. One day you may help someone prepare dinner, learn a new skill, or get ready for work. Another day could include shopping for the perfect outfit, attending a community event, going out to dinner, enjoying a favorite activity, or celebrating a personal accomplishment.
This is more than helping someone through their day. It is helping someone build the life they want.
Could This Be You?
- Are you someone people can count on to show up and follow through?
- Do you genuinely care about others and believe everyone deserves dignity and respect?
- Are you patient , even when progress takes time?
- Do you enjoy encouraging people to do more for themselves instead of simply doing things for them?
- Are you naturally people-oriented and enjoy building relationships?
- Can you adapt when the day does not go exactly as planned ?
- Are you someone who notices and celebrates progress, even the small wins ?
- Do you take responsibility seriously , especially when it comes to safety, medications, and follow-through?
