Direct Support Professional Residential Respite Overnight
Schedule: Full time, 30 Hours per week Pay: $20.00 Location: ACHIEVE North, Madison County *Sign On Bonus-up to $1,000*
The Direct Support Professional assists in providing self-care training, therapeutic treatments, and assistance in daily living to developmentally disabled individuals attending the agency's respite facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals throughout the overnight shift by remaining awake, alert, and continuously monitoring residents and the residential environment.
- Provide individualized support according to each person’s Life Plan or ISP, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility, meals, and other personal care needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and support routine healthcare needs in accordance with established procedures and applicable requirements.
- Observe, document, and communicate important information related to individuals’ health, behaviors, nutrition, clinical needs, and services provided.
- Complete overnight residential responsibilities, including required housekeeping and assigned nightly tasks, while following behavior support plans, safety procedures, and agency policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training preferred
