Responsibilities

As a member of the Business Management (APAC) team, the successful candidate will be:

Managing relationships with exchanges, trading venues, prime brokers, lenders, and other strategic business partners

Driving business expansion in Hong Kong and China, including new markets, products, trading channels, and exchange programs

Partnering closely with the Portfolio Finance team to support China equities inventory and prime brokerage strategy, aligning trading-team demand with broker supply

Working closely with Trading, Core Engineering, Legal and Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology to deliver business initiatives

Evaluating opportunities based on commercial potential, capital requirements, operational readiness, and regulatory considerations

Monitoring market structure, regulatory developments, and competitive trends, translating them into actionable recommendations

Supporting the Head of Business Management (APAC) on regional business planning, resource allocation, operational improvements, and other strategic priorities

Qualifications

At least 10 years of relevant experience at a buy-side firm, sell-side institution, exchange, or trading venue.

Deep knowledge of Hong Kong and China equities markets, including their market structure and regulatory frameworks

Strong understanding of prime brokerage, securities lending, financing, and institutional trading

Established relationships across the Hong Kong and China equities industry

Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability, and attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and work effectively across functions

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

Interest in electronic trading and trading technology; coding or automation experience is a plus

A relevant SFC license would be a plus

Native-speaker-level Mandarin and professional fluency in English
