Position Overview:

The Director, Cloud Architecture is PVH’s recognized enterprise technical authority for cloud architecture and is accountable for defining the global target-state architecture, strategic technology direction and architectural guardrails across PVH. The role operates across EMEA, the Americas and APAC and influences cloud decisions spanning infrastructure, applications, security, data, integration, resilience, operations and financial management.

Operating at enterprise level, this role addresses unique and highly complex technology challenges where established patterns are insufficient, fragmented or do not yet exist. The Director is expected to create innovative architectural approaches, resolve cross-domain constraints and make authoritative recommendations that balance business outcomes, risk, security, resilience, cost, speed and long-term technology strategy.

The role is not limited to applying existing cloud practices. It establishes new enterprise patterns and target-state capabilities, determines when industry or best practices must be adapted to PVH’s specific global requirements, and provides technical direction for strategic transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, data center exit, modernization, disaster recovery and the continued evolution of PVH’s global cloud foundation.

As a senior individual contributor, the Director provides enterprise-wide technical leadership without requiring direct people-management authority. The role represents Global Cloud & Infrastructure in architecture and governance forums, acts as a trusted advisor to senior technology leaders, and influences engineering teams, strategic partners and vendors across organizational boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Enterprise Cloud Architecture

  • Define, own and continuously evolve PVH’s global AWS cloud architecture strategy and target state, aligned with enterprise technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application and business strategies.
  • Serve as the recognized enterprise authority for Cloud architecture, providing final technical direction and authoritative recommendations for material cloud architecture decisions across PVH.
  • Anticipate technology, business and industry developments and translate them into strategic cloud capabilities, architectural roadmaps and investment priorities for PVH.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior IT and business technology leaders on cloud strategy, architecture, transformation, risk and investment choices.
  • Create innovative solutions to unique, highly complex enterprise technology problems where established cloud patterns or standard approaches do not adequately address PVH’s requirements.
  • Translate complex technical issues into clear strategic options, recommendations and consequences for senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish enterprise reference architectures, principles, decision frameworks, standards and technical guardrails that shape cloud adoption globally.
  • Determine and document architectural trade-offs across resilience, security, performance, operational complexity, cost, sustainability and delivery speed.
  • Provide architectural leadership for multi-year strategic transformation programs and ensure near-term delivery decisions remain aligned to the long-term target architecture.

Global Cloud Foundation & Platform Strategy

  • Own the architectural direction for PVH’s global cloud foundation and landing-zone capabilities across regions and business domains.
  • Define, in partnership with Security and Network domain leaders, enterprise standards for, as example, account strategy, identity and access, networking, connectivity, DNS, logging, monitoring, encryption and security controls.
  • Drive the evolution from infrastructure-centric patterns toward reusable, automated, policy-driven and self-service cloud platform capabilities.
  • Define the architectural approach for multi-region resilience, disaster recovery, workload placement, service continuity and recovery patterns across critical enterprise workloads.
  • Ensure global cloud foundations can support diverse regional, regulatory and business requirements without creating unnecessary fragmentation or technical debt.
  • Provide senior architectural input into major technology selections, strategic partnerships and commercial decisions with material cloud implications.

Innovation, Engineering & Automation

  • Set the enterprise architectural direction for Infrastructure as Code, policy as code, cloud automation and platform engineering, including Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce cloud-native services, automation, AI-enabled operations and emerging AWS capabilities that materially improve PVH’s technology landscape.
  • Lead evaluation of emerging technologies and, where appropriate, establish new architectural patterns and adoption strategies before they become broadly standardized within PVH.
  • Sponsor proofs of concept and technical experiments for high-impact or unprecedented architecture challenges and translate successful outcomes into reusable enterprise capabilities.
  • Drive simplification by eliminating unnecessary manual processes, legacy dependencies and duplicated platform capabilities.
  • Maintain external awareness of cloud architecture trends, emerging technologies and industry practices and translate relevant developments into PVH strategy.

Cloud Migration, Modernization & Transformation Provide enterprise architecture leadership for global workload migration and modernization into AWS, including strategic data center exit initiatives.Determine target migration and modernization approaches for complex workloads, including rehost, re-platform, refactor, retire, retain and adoption of cloud-native or managed services.Challenge migration designs that unnecessarily reproduce legacy data center constructs in AWS and define pragmatic alternatives aligned with PVH’s target architecture.Resolve complex cross-domain architecture issues involving applications, networking, identity, security, data, integration, resilience, operations and regulatory constraints.Ensure transformation decisions balance immediate program objectives with enterprise architecture, long-term maintainability and avoidance of structural technical debt . Challenge vendor recommendations where they do not align with PVH’s enterprise architecture, risk posture or long-term strategic objectives.Provide senior architectural input into major technology selections, strategic partnerships and commercial decisions with material cloud implications.
