Description
History:
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
Position Purpose:
The EMS Director will manage EMS operations under the supervision of Medical Director and CEO. The EMS Director or designee(s) will oversee operations while maintaining a working relationship with Texas DSHS specialist to assure guideline compliance. The EMS Director will work with the Medical Director and CEO to maintain operational guidelines, policies and procedures for Martin County EMS.
Requirements
- Education:
- Successfully completed Texas EMTP training.
- Licenses/Certificates:
- Must have a current Texas DSHS certification or license.
- Successful completion of AHA approved courses in BLS upon hire.
- Clear current driver's license.
- Experience:
- 10 years experience preferred.
