Overview

Infinite Machine is hiring a Director of Finance & Business Operations to own finance, accounting, HR, legal, facilities, and reporting. This is a senior, hands-on role reporting to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Own financial planning and analysis, including the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and the company's long-range cash flow model.

Manage cash, runway, and working capital, with close attention to supplier payment terms, landed cost, and duties and tariffs.

Partner with vehicle operations on inventory planning, purchasing, and cost tracking, owning the financial view of stock, landed cost, and supplier terms.

Oversee accounting and the monthly close, whether in-house or through an outside firm, and own audit, tax, and sales tax compliance.

Support equity and debt fundraising by building models, preparing investor materials, maintaining the data room, and running diligence.

Manage the cap table, 409A valuations, option grants, and board and investor reporting.

Run HR operations, including payroll, benefits, onboarding and offboarding, compensation planning, and employment compliance across the states where we operate.

Manage legal work with outside counsel, including supplier, dealer, and commercial agreements, corporate governance, IP, and regulatory matters.

Oversee facilities, including leases, insurance, vendors, and workplace safety, in partnership with vehicle operations.

Build the company's reporting on sales, inventory, unit economics, and operating metrics, with dashboards the team uses to make decisions.

Partner with the CEO on special projects, board preparation, priorities, and operating cadence.

Put systems and processes in place that hold up as we grow, without adding overhead the company doesn't need.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in finance, business operations, or strategy, including time at an early-stage, venture-backed company.

Experience in hardware, consumer products, automotive, or another business with physical inventory and overseas manufacturing.

Strong financial modeling skills and a working command of accounting, including GAAP, the monthly close, and audit.

Direct experience on an equity or debt raise, from model to diligence to close.

Comfort managing outside counsel, accountants, and advisors, and judgment about when to bring them in.

Working knowledge of HR operations, payroll, and benefits at a small company.

Clear writing and the ability to explain numbers to people outside finance.

Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and solving problems independently in a fast-moving environment.
