Position Overview
As Director of Marketing reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for building and executing Ombud's marketing strategy during a transformative growth phase. This hands-on leadership role requires both strategic vision and tactical execution to drive demand generation, establish our market position, and support pipeline creation. You will craft our narrative, build our marketing foundation, and create scalable programs that deliver measurable business results with limited resources.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Generation & Pipeline Creation (40%)
Design and execute multi-channel demand generation strategies
Build and optimize lead generation programs driving qualified opportunities
Develop and manage marketing campaigns across digital channels
Create and implement account-based marketing initiatives
Own MQL targets and conversion metrics
Establish marketing attribution and ROI measurement
Drive pipeline growth supporting 40%+ ARR increase
Brand Positioning & Messaging (25%)
Define and evolve our market positioning and messaging
Craft compelling narratives around our AI-powered solutions
Develop competitive differentiation strategies
Create sales enablement materials that articulate our value
Oversee website and digital presence optimization
Build analyst and PR relationships
Establish Ombud as a thought leader in our space
Content Strategy & Thought Leadership (20%)
Develop a comprehensive content strategy aligned with buyer journey
Create high-value content that addresses prospect pain points
Establish thought leadership in enterprise sales and AI automation
Build scalable content creation processes
Implement content distribution strategies across channels
Drive engagement through targeted content campaigns
Measure content effectiveness and optimize accordingly
Marketing Operations & Analytics (15%)
Build marketing technology stack and infrastructure
Implement data-driven marketing processes and analytics
Establish marketing KPIs and reporting cadence
Manage marketing budget and resource allocation
Optimize channel performance through testing and measurement
Create scalable marketing operations processes
Collaborate with Sales on lead management and CRM processes
Required Qualifications
This role is based in Denver, Colorado and requires regular in-office presence
5+ years of progressive B2B SaaS marketing experience with 2+ years in marketing leadership
Proven track record driving demand generation and pipeline creation
Experience marketing enterprise software solutions ($75K+ ACV)
Strong understanding of enterprise buying cycles and B2B marketing strategies
Demonstrated ability to build marketing programs from early stage
Experience with ABM and targeted marketing approaches
Data-driven approach with focus on pipeline impact
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
Technical Skills
Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.)
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot)
Understanding of digital marketing channels and optimization
Familiarity with content management systems
Knowledge of marketing analytics and attribution tools
Experience with ABM platforms a plus
