  • Partner with executive leadership and the Production, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Safety and Compliance departments to coordinate priorities and resolve operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and replacement planning for trucks, trailers, forklifts, warehouse equipment, buildings, and facilities.
  • Ensure warehouse receiving, inventory control, order staging, loading, shipping, and housekeeping processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Evaluate warehouse capacity and workflow, address bottlenecks, and prepare the operation for future growth.
  • Coordinate tray production schedules and maintain appropriate tray supply and inventory levels.
  • Forecast transportation demand and ensure adequate company fleet and outside-carrier capacity.
  • Oversee dispatch, route planning, delivery schedules, driver performance, and communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Champion consistent use of operational technology, including the company's driver application.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, state, and company transportation requirements in partnership with Safety and Compliance and Human Resources.
  • Review operational data to improve productivity, reliability, customer service, safety, and cost performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, and pricing, and provide executive leadership with regular operational updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; equivalent operational leadership experience may be considered.
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible operations experience, including three years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience leading multiple operational functions, such as transportation, fleet, logistics, maintenance, warehouse, production, or distribution.
  • Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, CDL driver compliance, fleet maintenance, and transportation safety.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, performance metrics, and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly between company locations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems used for maintenance, inventory, dispatch, fleet management, or reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in agriculture, sod, landscaping, manufacturing, distribution, construction, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations during periods of organizational growth.
  • Commercial Driver's License or previous experience managing a regulated CDL fleet.

What We Are Looking For

  • Sound judgment and the ability to make timely, practical decisions.
  • The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational problem-solving.
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong and approachable leader who communicates expectations clearly and holds teams accountable consistently.
