About the Team

DoorDash’s DashOS business helps merchants grow and operate their businesses through technology that connects their own customer channels with the broader DoorDash ecosystem. Within DashOS, our business brings together hardware, software, payments, and ordering integrations to improve restaurant operations and merchant outcomes.

Our Strategy & Operations team turns merchant needs and business opportunities into product and go-to-market priorities, then builds the operating capabilities needed to deliver them. We work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Operations to build and scale this business.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Strategy & Operations to set the strategic direction and lead business operations within DashOS. You will translate a long-term vision into financial plans, product and go-to-market priorities, and an operating model that supports growth, merchant retention, and healthy unit economics.

You will lead the Strategy & Operations team, with direct ownership of product operations, and partner closely with leaders across go-to-market, launch and implementation, support, and account management. You will help design the operating model across these functions and stay closely involved in the merchant experience as the business scales. As a leader of managers and operators, you will build the team and systems needed to grow, align cross-functional leaders around shared outcomes, and navigate decisions involving merchant needs, growth, profitability, and partner dependencies. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who can identify new opportunities, make thoughtful decisions amid uncertainty, and stay close to the operational details that drive results.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

Set the strategy and own business performance. Define the long-term direction, target merchant segments, and differentiation for our DashOS business. Lead annual and quarterly planning, developing financial forecasts and resourcing plans in partnership with Finance to align business needs with broader budget parameters and targets. Translate those plans into priorities that drive growth, retention, and healthy unit economics.

Shape the product and growth roadmap. Partner with Product and Engineering to translate merchant needs, market insights, and operational data into priorities across hardware, software, payments, and integrations. Identify and validate new use cases, product opportunities, and commercial approaches, including expansion into full-service restaurants.

Lead go-to-market strategy. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations on positioning, merchant targeting, sales effectiveness, pricing, deal governance, and incentives that accelerate adoption and support sustainable growth.

Design and scale the operating model. Own product operations and partner with post-sales leaders to design the processes, handoffs, and systems supporting merchant launch, adoption, support, and retention. Stay close to execution and merchant feedback to identify gaps and drive improvements as the business scales, using experimentation, automation, and AI to improve how teams work.

Align leaders and navigate strategic tradeoffs. Build cross-functional alignment around shared goals and communicate clear recommendations to executives on strategy, performance, and investment needs. Guide decisions on critical partnerships and integrations, balancing merchant experience, growth, profitability, and business risk .

Develop a strong leadership team. Hire and coach managers and operators, strengthen leadership depth and succession, and establish clear accountability. Create an environment where teams collaborate effectively, challenge assumptions, and deliver sustainable results.

We’re excited about you because…

You have 12+ years of experience leading strategy and operations in a complex, high-growth business, with a track record of building new offerings and scaling them into sustainable businesses.

You have 7+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary organizations through managers and built strong teams through thoughtful organization design, hiring, coaching, and leadership development.

You combine strategic thinking, analytical judgment, and product sense with a strong understanding of financial planning, pricing, and unit economics.

You understand how go-to-market execution and post-sales operations work together to drive adoption, retention, and profitable growth, and have partnered across these functions to build effective operating models. Experience in restaurant technology, POS, payments, or B2B SaaS is a plus.

You communicate clearly with executives, build trust across functions, and influence decisions and outcomes beyond your direct team.

You solve problems from first principles and move comfortably between long-term strategy and operational detail. You thrive in ambiguity, test assumptions, and use AI and automation to improve how your team works.
