Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.

• •Wage: $15/hour
• •Full-time and part-time positions available

Responsibilities

• •Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom
• •Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes
• •Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift
• •Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner
• •Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine
• •Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas
• •Monitor and empty trash cans
• •Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
• •Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• •Must be at least 18 years old
• •Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• •Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform

Physical Requirements

• •Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
• •Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
• •Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
