Position Summary

Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health, this role will support Omnicare and its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. Candidates should be aware that this role will not remain within CVS Health following the transaction. The individual hired into this role will be employed by Omnicare and will contribute to shaping the future of our organization during this exciting period of growth and transformation.

As a pharmacist for our Long-Term Care Pharmacy, you will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely.

This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow. The contributions you will make as a pharmacist in this role will position CVS Health as a leader within the LTC marketplace.

This is a full time position. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm. The weekend rotation is every 6th week. The on-call requirement is every 6th week.

Required Qualifications

• •BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required
• •Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
• •Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications

• •At least two (2) years of long-term care experience
• •Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified
• •Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• •Excellent interpersonal skills
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• •Ability to work independently to plan, develop and coordinate pharmacy activities
• •Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions.
• •Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long term care centers
• •Knowledge of all government regulations impacting upon pharmacy

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$50.48 - $84.62

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
