Distribution Technician

• Job Title: Distribution Technician
• Department: Focus: HOPE Food
• Reports To: Manager Food Program
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

General Statement of Duties:

Performs duties under the supervision of the Manage/Supervisor of the Food Center/Central Warehouse. Responsible for unloading and loading trucks, cutting, and moving stock. Decisions are made within the limits of established practices, policies, and procedures with a supervisor available to handle unusual situations. Work with volunteers to provide direction and support during volunteer shifts.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Load and unload freight from semi-trailers/trucks.
• •Drive Hi-lo to move stock from storage to distribution area.
• •Stock and replenish distribution area as needed.
• •Build and stage packed food boxes at pick up areas.
• •Assist in maintenance of building and grounds.
• •Support and direct volunteers on stock replenishment, proper packing and staging procedures.
• •Perform related duties as assigned.
• •Assist participants with loading food boxes vehicles.

• •Certification for driving Hilo or ability to attain certification.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds manually.

Education, Training and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent training, education, and experience.
