Join Our Team as a District Retail Manager

About East Coast Thrift : East Coast Thrift is new to the Spencer-Worcester area, but we are not new to the thrift industry! We have plans to expand in the area and are seeking a motivated leader to lead this growth.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and results-driven District Manager to oversee multiple high-volume thrift retail locations. This is a hands-on leadership position for a company with 3 locations and expanding in the New England area.

The successful candidate will be visible in the stores, work closely with management teams, recognize opportunities quickly, and follow through until results are achieved.

This position is ideal for an experienced retail leader who enjoys developing people, improving operations, growing sales, and building successful stores.

Work Location: In person at our offices in Natick, MA with travel to store locations

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Store Managers across multiple retail thrift locations
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop strong management teams
  • Monitor payroll, labor productivity, expenses, and other key operating metrics
  • Ensure stores maintain excellent merchandising, pricing, cleanliness, and customer service standards
  • Conduct regular store visits and identify opportunities to increase sales and productivity
  • Manage inventory processes, shrink control, loss prevention, and safety standards
  • Analyze store performance and develop action plans for underperforming locations
  • Ensure company policies and operational procedures are consistently followed throughout the district

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of multi-unit retail management experience preferred
  • Thrift, resale, discount, off-price, or high-volume retail experience is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to manage and develop Store Managers
  • Strong understanding of sales, payroll, expenses, productivity, and profit-and-loss performance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify operational problems and take decisive corrective action
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned store locations
