Driver/HME Technician (Lenexa, Kansas)

Description

Med Resources , the premier provider of Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment in the Midwest and Georgia is seeking a reliable and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Driver/HME technician .

Responsibilities:

• •Deliver and set up durable medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, hospital beds, and other assistive devices to patients using company vans
• •Assist with setting up and demonstrating equipment use, ensuring patient satisfaction and compliance with company policies
• •Assist the warehouse team when not performing duties outlined above. Includes unloading and restocking assigned van, cleaning and checking equipment, and general warehouse duties as needed
• •Maintain accurate delivery logs, service records, and patient documentation
• •Communicate with dispatch, patients and caregivers regarding delivery schedules and special needs
• •Perform routine vehicle checks, report any maintenance issues and keep assigned van neat and organized
• •Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures

Requirements

Requirements:

• •Insurance and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• •Ability to lift and move heavy medical equipment (must be able to pass 50 lb. lift test)
• •Ability to read maps
• •Strong communication and customer service skills and a professional demeanor
• •Ability to work independently
• •DOT certified or ability to become DOT certified (Certification provided after hire)
• •Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• •Prefer candidates who live within a 30 minute drive of Lenexa, Kansas
