Operational Strategy & Standardization

  • Use our standardized scheduling and routing model to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure region‑wide SOPs are followed for sample pickups, positive client site interactions, equipment use, vehicle care, and safety.
  • Ensure consistent execution of ALS Quality Procedures and regulatory requirements across the region.
  • Work with other Regional Field Service Managers to ensure seamless movement of samples and create the most efficient routes created in the Eastern region.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure regional KPIs for productivity, sample pickup turnaround times, holding times, route utilization, and cost-per‑stop.
  • Analyze trends and operational data to identify opportunities for optimization and waste reduction.
  • Ensure process improvement initiatives, including implementing new technologies or systems (scheduling platforms, routing software, etc.) are completed on time.

Client & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Laboratory Directors, Regional Field Service Managers, Client Services, and Sales to ensure field operations align with business needs and support customer commitments.
  • Facilitate communication between field teams and laboratory operations to ensure seamless sample handoff and improved turnaround times.
  • Participate in client visits and operational reviews as required.

Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Oversee region-wide safety training, incident prevention, and adherence to regulatory and ALS safety standards.
  • Ensure all field teams maintain proper documentation, chain‑of‑custody handling, equipment calibration, and vehicle compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits, corrective actions, and integration of quality improvements.

Resource, Equipment & Fleet Management

  • Oversee shared equipment and fleet optimization, ensuring sites maintain reliable vehicles and sampling tools.
  • Reduce equipment loss, damage, and operational waste through standardized processes and training.
  • Manage regional costs related to field services, labor, fleet, and equipment.
