Responsibilities

  • Own the eCommerce payments product strategy for the UK and Europe regions, defining priorities based on market opportunity, client need, and revenue potential, and ensuring alignment across product, sales, and senior stakeholder groups.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics continuously to identify emerging eCommerce use cases, revenue opportunities, and areas where Citi can innovate.
  • Engage directly with high-priority clients to co-create solutions, shape strategic deal structures, and translate client needs into clearly defined product requirements.
  • Lead end-to-end solution design and product development in collaboration with technology teams, external partners, and functions including risk and compliance, delivering enhancements that improve client outcomes.
  • Establish risk assessment frameworks and client onboarding screening criteria for eCommerce segments, and maintain ongoing monitoring of existing client risk exposure.
  • Drive commercialization programs in close partnership with Sales, Client, and Marketing teams to convert product capabilities into measurable revenue growth.
  • Define and track performance targets in collaboration with Sales, using metrics to evaluate product effectiveness and inform roadmap decisions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive experience in payments, with deep expertise in building embedded payments solutions for digital and platform-based businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technology and payments product development and management within large, complex organizations, with a track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
  • Familiarity with technology concepts including application architecture and APIs, enabling effective collaboration with engineering and platform teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Fintech and digital platform landscape, including online Marketplaces, Online Travel, and platform-based digital commerce .
  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of building trust across senior stakeholders, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering results in matrixed environments.
  • Ability to apply rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve complex problems and develop commercially viable solutions.
  • Clear command of risk and compliance frameworks, with the ability to embed control thinking into product design and client onboarding decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries and build consensus among diverse groups.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience navigating ambiguous, fast-moving environments and applying creative thinking to resolve novel business and product challenges.
  • A master's degree in a relevant field, complementing a required bachelor's degree preferred.
