Responsibilities

Perform engineering design and calculations for water and wastewater pipeline and facility projects.

Plan and design water and wastewater conveyance systems.

Support the planning and design of facilities, including pump stations, lift stations, and treatment plants.

Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.

Complete pump calculations and develop system curves for pump sizing.

Prepare Opinions of Probable Construction Cost (OPCCs).

Produce contract documents, including plans, specifications, and bid forms.

Conduct site visits during design and construction to observe installation activities.

Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

One to two years of relevant water and wastewater infrastructure design experience preferred.

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other design disciplines.

Strong organizational and time-management skills .

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills .

Familiarity with CAD software, including Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
