Description

Global Power Products is looking for a technically curious person to join our growing electric metering business.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who has a basic understanding of electrical systems and wants to develop into a technical applications and customer support role.

You do not need previous electric metering experience. We will teach you our products, metering applications, communications, software, and quotation process.

What we are looking for is someone who has a good technical foundation, enjoys solving problems, communicates well, and wants to learn.

You will work directly with our Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams and gain hands-on experience supporting real commercial electrical projects.

What You'll Do

· Prepare project quotations and help configure metering solutions.

· Review electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and customer requirements.

· Work with customers and sales representatives to understand project needs.

· Help select meters, current transformers, communications, enclosures, and accessories.

· Coordinate projects with Sales, Engineering, and Operations from quotation through production.

· Answer product and application questions as your technical knowledge grows.

· Help prepare submittals, technical information, and project documentation.

· Assist with customer startup, communications, and basic troubleshooting.

· Support customized meter applications and help keep projects moving.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

· Associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

· 0–3 years of professional experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

· Basic understanding of AC electrical systems and electrical terminology.

· Ability to read basic electrical diagrams or schematics through coursework, internship, military, trade, or work experience.

· Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Comfortable working with customers and as part of a technical team.

· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Curiosity and a willingness to learn.

What We'll Teach You

You will receive hands-on training in:

· Commercial electrical metering

· Current transformers and electrical measurement

· Single-phase and three-phase metering applications

· Multi-circuit and branch-circuit metering

· Ethernet and cellular communications

· Modbus and BACnet

· Cloud-based energy monitoring

· Meter configuration and programming

· Technical quoting and project support

· Custom electrical assemblies and enclosures

Our goal is for this person to become an important technical resource within our metering business.

As your experience grows, you can take greater ownership of customer applications, technical support, quotations, customized projects, and project management, with opportunities to grow into applications engineering, product management, technical sales, or other roles within the company.
