Job Summary:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will design and deliver the electrical engineering scope for Material Handling Systems, contributing to reliable, efficient and safe solutions throughout the project lifecycle. You will work across electrical design, power calculations, specifications, interfaces, installation documentation and site support while coordinating closely with other engineering disciplines.

Depending on your experience, your scope may range from independently delivering defined engineering activities to leading the electrical engineering workstream for projects, advising stakeholders and guiding less experienced colleagues. Your contribution will support FORTNA’s integrated conveyor and sortation solutions and help turn system designs into practical, high-performing installations.

Job Responsibilities:

• •Develop electrical designs based on system architecture, FORTNA standards and project requirements.
• •Perform power calculations and electrical interface, accessibility and electrical risk analyses.
• •Coordinate electrical design activities with other engineering disciplines.
• •Prepare electrical specifications, including Bills of Materials (BOM), and specifications for specials.
• •Create and maintain electrical installation and as-built documentation.
• •Assess design changes and incorporate approved changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• •Provide electrical engineering support during site activities.
• •Identify opportunities to improve engineering solutions, methods and processes and support their implementation.
• •Contribute technical expertise to resolve multidisciplinary engineering challenges.
• •Coordinate electrical engineering activities, advise relevant stakeholders and guide less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications Needed:

• •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic working and thinking level in a relevant engineering discipline.
• •Relevant professional experience in electrical engineering within engineering and/or manufacturing environments.
• •Knowledge and practical experience in electrical design, power calculations, electrical specifications, interfaces and technical documentation.
• •Ability to analyse technical issues, structure information and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
• •Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and communicate technical information effectively.
• •Experience coordinating engineering activities, advising stakeholders and/or guiding colleagues, is valuable.
