What You'll Do

• •Design electrical systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and public-sector building projects
• •Develop construction documents, including plans, specifications, calculations, and reports
• •Perform power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage system design
• •Coordinate designs with architects, contractors, owners, and other engineering disciplines
• •Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations
• •Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
• •Apply applicable codes and standards to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant designs
• •Assist with project proposals, client meetings, and technical presentations
• •Provide guidance and support to junior engineering staff and EITs

What You Bring

• •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
• •Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license and ability to obtain licensure in North Dakota within six months
• •7+ years of experience designing electrical building systems (adjust years as appropriate)
• •Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or municipal building projects
• •Proficiency with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or similar tools
• •Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards
• •Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative environment
• •Excellent communication and client service skills
• •Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
