EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration.

We are seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Philadelphia or Wayne office in Summer 2027. As part of the Electrical Engineering Discipline, the Electrical Intern will participate in computer-aided project work and will assist the electrical team with the electrical engineering and design of various projects. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other disciplines and will gain knowledge of the building design and construction process.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit BIM software to assist in the drafting and documentation of electrical, lighting, and low voltage systems
  • Assisting in electrical distribution design
  • Assisting in the design of architectural lighting systems
  • Creating lighting models and performing lighting calculations • Analyzing energy code requirements and performing energy calculations
  • Analyzing architectural models and drawings to ensure an integrated design solution
  • Coordinating electrical design with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an ABET program pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Architectural Engineering
  • Beginning knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic computer skills
