About this role:

Oversee and inspect electrical installation works on construction projects, ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Inspect electrical installation works, including power distribution, lighting, low-current systems, grounding, and other electrical systems.
• •Review and verify electrical installations against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable codes and standards.
• •Monitor contractors' work progress and ensure compliance with approved materials, workmanship, and project requirements.
• •Conduct inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities as required.
• •Identify defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming works and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented
• •Review inspection requests (IRs), material inspection requests (MIRs), test reports, and other quality documentation
• •Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, testing activities, and site progress
• •Coordinate with electrical engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other disciplines to resolve site issues and technical queries
• •Monitor the installation and testing of electrical equipment and systems
• •Ensure that electrical works comply with applicable international standards, local regulations, and project specifications
• •Assist in reviewing shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation where required
• •Monitor site safety practices related to electrical works and report unsafe conditions
• •Participate in site meetings and provide updates on inspection findings and outstanding issues
• •Follow up on punch-list items and verify their completion prior to project handover
• •Support testing, commissioning, and final handover activities

Qualifications/Requirements:

• •Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• •3 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection, construction supervision, or quality control
• •Experience working on construction projects, preferably within an engineering consultancy or contractor environment preferably experience with large-scale commercial, residential, infrastructure, or industrial projects
• •Good knowledge of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning
• •Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards such as IEC, NEC, BS, or local authority requirements
• •Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents
• •Experience with inspection and quality-control procedures and documentation
• •Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-compliant work
• •Good communication and coordination skills
• •Ability to work effectively on construction sites and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• •Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant engineering/construction documentation systems
