Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong experience in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and embedded systems, along with a solid foundation in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) . The ideal candidate will work on high-performance, low-power wireless devices involving sensor data acquisition, real-time streaming, and advanced signal conditioning using filtering techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems with a focus on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication
  • Work with Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies (optional but preferred)
  • Interface and integrate sensors such as:
  • Accelerometers
  • Gyroscopes
  • Other IMU / environmental sensors
  • Implement Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques for real-time sensor data analysis
  • Design and apply filtering techniques such as:
  • Low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filters
  • Moving average and exponential smoothing filters
  • Sensor fusion filters (e.g., complementary filters, basic Kalman filtering)
  • Develop solutions for high-frequency data acquisition and streaming over BLE and/or Wi-Fi
  • Implement and optimize mesh communication protocols
  • Work extensively with Nordic Semiconductor (nRF) platforms , including:
  • nRF5 SDK
  • nRF Connect SDK (NCS)
  • Design and optimize data storage systems using NOR Flash , ensuring efficient:
  • Data logging
  • Retrieval
  • Wear leveling (if applicable)
  • Optimize firmware for:
  • Low power consumption
  • Bluetooth range and reliability
  • System performance and latency
  • Debug, test, and validate firmware using standard tools (JTAG, RTT, logs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with hardware, mobile, and backend teams for system integration

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ programming
  • Hands-on experience with BLE stack development and debugging
  • Solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts, including:
  • Sampling theory and aliasing
  • Noise reduction techniques
  • Time-domain and basic frequency-domain analysis
  • Experience implementing filters on embedded systems for real-time data conditioning
  • Experience working with sensor data acquisition and processing (IMU preferred)
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Real-time systems
  • Interrupts, timers, and low-power modes
  • Experience with nRF52/nRF54 series or similar MCUs
  • Familiarity with high-throughput data transfer over BLE
  • Experience with flash memory management
  • Understanding of wireless communication fundamentals
  • Experience in production-grade firmware development
  • Familiarity with mobile app interaction (BLE central side)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to power profiling and optimization tools
  • Experience with OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates
  • Knowledge of RTOS (Zephyr preferred for NCS)
  • Experience with sensor fusion algorithms (e.g., orientation estimation using IMU data)
  • Experience implementing or working with BLE Mesh or other mesh protocols
  • Experience with Wi-Fi-based embedded systems
  • Experience in wearable devices / IoT products
  • Familiarity with FFT or spectral analysis in embedded environments

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking, especially for signal interpretation and noise handling
