About the role

The Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) Programme Manager is accountable for the effective planning, mobilisation and delivery of Haleon’s global wellbeing programmes, including the flagship Oral Health Programme.

The role provides the programme management discipline, systems, processes, data and operational infrastructure required to translate the global EHW strategy into consistent, measurable and sustainable delivery. Working across functions, regions and markets, the role coordinates programme owners, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered to agreed scope, quality, budget, timelines and outcomes.

Based in London and reporting to the Global Head of Employee Health and Wellbeing, the role has a strong execution focus. The postholder will establish clear delivery plans, maintain momentum, resolve dependencies and risks, and provide transparent reporting on progress, performance and value.

Key Responsibilities

Wellbeing Programme Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of Haleon’s global portfolio of employee wellbeing programmes.
  • Lead the mobilisation, implementation and ongoing delivery of the Oral Health Programme, working with internal subject matter experts, regional teams, sites and external partners.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear programme plans, milestones, deliverables, ownership and success measures.
  • Coordinate global and local activation, ensuring programmes are scalable, inclusive and appropriately adapted for different markets.
  • Maintain a consolidated programme roadmap and delivery calendar across all wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure programmes move from design to implementation at pace, with disciplined follow-through and closure of agreed actions.

Programme Management

  • Establish and maintain robust programme governance, including plans, status reporting, decision logs, risk and issue management, dependencies and change control.
  • Lead cross-functional programme teams and working groups, creating clarity on roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Monitor delivery against scope, milestones, budget and expected outcomes, escalating material risks and decisions promptly.
  • Prepare clear programme updates, papers and recommendations for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
  • Apply consistent programme management standards, tools and templates across the EHW portfolio.

Data, Metrics and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain a coherent measurement framework for EHW programmes, including participation, reach, outcomes, experience, equity and value measures.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, analysis and reporting of programme data from internal teams, markets, systems and vendors.
  • Produce regular dashboards and performance reports for EHW leadership, governance forums and key stakeholders.
  • Use data and insight to identify delivery gaps, emerging trends and opportunities to improve programme effectiveness.
  • Ensure metrics are clearly defined, consistently applied and supported by appropriate data governance.

Systems and Platforms

  • Act as the business lead for EHW programme systems and platforms, ensuring they support effective delivery, data capture, reporting and employee access.
  • Maintain clear business requirements and coordinate enhancements with Digital, Data and Technology, HR and external providers.
  • Support implementation, user adoption, access management, testing and ongoing optimisation of relevant systems.
  • Ensure system processes and integrations are documented, controlled and aligned with privacy, security and records requirements.

Management System and Processes

  • Develop and maintain the EHW management system, programme processes, standard operating procedures, templates and controls.
  • Embed consistent ways of working across wellbeing programmes, regional teams and vendors.
  • Maintain programme documentation, records, governance calendars and evidence of delivery.
  • Support assurance activity by demonstrating that agreed standards, commitments and programme requirements are being met.
  • Identify process gaps and implement practical solutions that simplify work and improve control.

Communications and Shared Learning

  • Partner with Internal Communications and other stakeholders to develop coordinated programme communications and engagement plans.
  • Maintain a global calendar of wellbeing campaigns, launches and key communications.
  • Create mechanisms to capture, curate and share lessons learned, case studies and good practice across markets and sites.
  • Provide clear toolkits and implementation materials that enable effective local activation.
  • Promote consistent messaging while allowing appropriate local and cultural adaptation.

Vendor Management

  • Manage the operational performance of wellbeing programme vendors and delivery partners.
  • Establish clear service requirements, performance measures, governance routines and escalation routes.
  • Monitor service quality, delivery, utilisation, contractual performance, risks and value for money.
  • Coordinate vendor reviews and work with Procurement, Legal, Privacy, Finance and other functions on contracting and compliance requirements.
  • Drive timely resolution of service issues and continuous improvement actions.

Budget and Finance

  • Coordinate the EHW programme budget, forecast, accruals and financial reporting.
  • Track expenditure and commitments against approved budgets and highlight emerging variances or risks.
  • Support annual planning, business case development, purchase orders, invoice management and vendor spend oversight.
  • Identify opportunities to improve value, reduce duplication and direct investment towards the highest-impact priorities.
  • Maintain accurate and transparent financial records for the programme portfolio.

Continuous Improvement

  • Build continuous improvement into programme governance, measurement and vendor management.
  • Use feedback, performance data, assurance findings and lessons learned to improve programme design and delivery.
  • Benchmark relevant practices and identify opportunities to innovate, simplify or scale successful approaches.
