We have an opportunity for an Employee Relations Consultant , where you will play a key role in supporting employees and managers, resolving complex issues, and ensuring our policies meet local legal standards. You will be part of a European team responsible for employee relations matters, liaising with HR Business Partners, employee representatives, and management to foster a respectful and productive work environment.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with French policies and employment regulations but will also be responsible for providing support across Europe. In this role, you will help foster a respectful and productive work environment by ensuring legal compliance, supporting the adoption and localisation of corporate HR policies, handling employee relations cases, negotiating with employee representative bodies, planning and supporting organizational changes/restructuring, and participating in audits.
You will:
- Propose HR policies aligned with legal requirements and best practice.
- Advise HR Europe functions on implementing policies and frameworks.
- Identify HR compliance risks and develop mitigation plans that protect the company’s reputation.
- Conduct prompt, fair, and well-documented investigations into alleged compliance violations.
- Coordinate compliance matters with internal and external counsel and the Data Privacy Officer.
- Handle works councils/unions and employee representative bodies.
- Develop and deliver training on conflict resolution, workplace ethics, and legal compliance.
- Analyse ER trends, track compliance metrics, and maintain accurate records.
You will bring:
- Several years’ experience in an Employee Relations Specialist role
- Experience working in large international companies
- Excellent knowledge of French employment law, regulations, and HR best practice
- Experience implementing and carrying out company policies and procedures
- Ability to conduct objective, thorough, and confidential workplace investigations
- Change management and negotiation skills, including supporting organisational change, leading ER initiatives, building trust, and communicating at all levels
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Fluent in French and English; Italian and/or Spanish is an advantage
- Highly proficient in Microsoft tools
