Engineer (FEA) (Job Code - 2026-27/N/06)

Job Description / Responsibilities:

The selected candidate is expected to carry out the following activities:

· Structure Design – steel structures, materials, members, connections, global interaction

· Design calculation as per standards, codes IACS/DNV/API/AISC/EuroCode, etc.

· FE Analysis, structural engineering ( loads and responses, stress analyses, buckling analyses, etc.) & report preparation.

· Structural Analysis with ANSYS/NASTRAN/FEMAP/SACS/SESAM software. ANSYS & SESAM knowledge and exposure are mandatory.

· Undertake hand calculations to supplement and refine the analysis package to generate code checks and structural behaviors

· To liaise with surveyors and third-party consultants

· Review outsourced engineering studies, reports, and procedure

· Should have knowledge of shipbuilding and repair practices

· Onsite support for installation/ fabrication.

Qualification :

· BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Naval Architecture from a reputed institute

· 4 to 6 years of experience (Marine/Non Marine)

Desired profile of the candidate :

· Candidates having experience in shipyard or design office of consulting engineering companies will be preferred.

· Good knowledge of structure, outfitting, equipment layout & strength calculation is desired.

· Fluency in English, both written and spoken is a must.

· Should be highly self-motivated, ambitious, and effective team player

· Establish and implement good work practices in the department.
