OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineer III to Implement and maintain engineering and quality process including ensuring quality of manufactured goods from delivery of raw materials to final product by continually assessing process and recommending improvements. Works closely with other departments to ensure continuity in production, efficiency, quality, and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, document and implement methods for process control (including SPC), process improvement, testing and inspection
- Conduct root cause analysis as needed, utilizing applicable tools to ensure robust solutions or improvements are determined and implemented
- Manage large projects to ensure timelines are met and appropriate resources have proper communication and direction
- Conduct internal quality system audits
- Facilitate and lead CAPA meetings, follow up on corrective actions to ensure CAPA’s are being resolved in a timely manner
- Lead appropriate advanced product quality planning (APQP) processes within the organization to ensure product and process validation and verification
- Develop and maintain tools for Quality System metric reporting. Ensure metrics are being reported accurately
- Work with engineering team using past performance data to prevent future occurrences. Utilize tools such as DOE, DFM, FMEAs, GD&T, process capability, 6-sigma designs, etc
- Assist disposition process by involving in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member
- Lead and develop New Employee Orientation Blue Print Reading Training and develop and implement programs needed for additional quality new employee training in coordination with the Human Resources Department
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference of 5-7 years recent, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual Spanish (Read and Speak)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling
- Experience in Automotive Systems and Audits (ISO16949) preferred
- A strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and audit requirements
- Auditing experience preferred
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Certified Quality Engineer preferred
