Summary

You will serve as a Engineering Equipment Operator (Seasonal) . For more park(s) information, please visit find a park. These positions may be filled for a six month seasonal period, but can be vary due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty April-May, 2027. Open to the first 200 applicants.

Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Operates gas or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction, such as road graders, tractors with bulldozer or angle dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, wheel loaders, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments. Operates equipment to push, pull, pile, excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth and/or refuse. Uses equipment to perform such functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials to maintain ditches, road shoulders, and beds.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the work of an Engineering Equipment Operator without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT) Operation of Motor Vehicles Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order). Ability to drive safely (Motor Vehicles). Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. Reliability and Dependability as an Engineering Equipment Operator If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. ICTAP/CTAP Statement: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special prior­ity selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies.
