Engineering Instructor - Susquehanna

Talen Energy is soliciting candidates interested in filling the position of Instructor for Engineering at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station located near Berwick, Pennsylvania.

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and administer Training Programs, specifically within the Nuclear Engineering Training discipline. Qualified Engineering candidates will be considered for Engineering positions in the event an internal Engineering candidate is selected for the Engineering Instructor position.

Instructor’s job responsibilities:

1. Analyze, design, develop and evaluate training materials.

2. Present training courses.

3. Write and revise technical training procedures.

4. Develop and administer end of course evaluations.

5. Develop and maintain program basis documents (training plans, staffing plans, etc.).

6. Participate in the Nuclear Emergency Response Organization in an "on-call" status.

7. Maintain the training programs in compliance with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) criteria.

Candidate Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration.

Engineering Instructor

• 1. High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Three years Engineering experience at an operating nuclear plant.
• 3. Experience as an instructor.

4. Maintain Instructor qualifications [Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Nuclear Training Group (NTG) Instructor].

5. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from a college or university accredited by ABET or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.
